So, I have had the Jeep for how long and I have just realized that the sunroof can open even farther after the sun-roof stops on the auto open. However, when I open it full (so that the shield and glass are not visible at all) and I drive above 40mph, the Jeep gets air pockets that build and release within it. So, my question is, should I be able to open it full, or is mine broken?

Air pockets ?
Wild.
My '01 only goes as far back as the auto feature takes it. I cannot get it to go any further back.

It is a feature of the early '99s.... Mine does it too!!

They turned off the feature because so many people were complaining about it.... it wasn't idiot proof!! Enjoy it, because it is rare.... and a fun feature too!

With the sunroof open and the windows closed you form a vacuum effect inside the car that releases now and then or sounds boomy. The way to eliminate the "air pockets" you describe is to lower one or both of the rear windows about an inch when the roof is open. This will remove the boominess and still allow you to carry on a conversation with a passenger. Hope this helps
