I have a CJ3B body coming, on the CJ3B it looks like the front mount is different, it attaches to the frame rails right? Also, is the frame widths the same on both models? This would make things easier for me when it comes. If anyone knows of any other conflicts I may have, please let me know that would be great

Width should be the same. Not sure on the 3B front body mount.
Wheelbase on an early CJ5 is 81", while the 3B was 80". Suggest you center the tub over the rear wheels. This will put the extra inch forward, so your front axle will be 1" farther forward in the front wheelwell, compared to a stock 3B.
This is a fairly common swap; there should be info on the CJ3B page.

If the widths are the same the front body mount shouldn't be to much of a problem I guess, as long as the grill clearls the front crossmember which I'm pretty sure it will (but who knows). Thanx for the advice, out of the 4 msg boards I've posted on you're the only onewho opted to answer my question :) So thank you very much. Maybe I'll just stick around this board :)

Stephen, you have a unique CJ in that Early CJ5 with the 225. I know of one or two other guys doing what you are doing with your flatfender. They're on the Early CJ5 board with a bunch of us that have these special CJs. We have guys that do it all, from stock restos, to heavy mods and 38s. And yes, even flatfender tub swaps :D
You should join us at the Early CJ5 and Dauntless V6 board. You'll be welcome even though you're doing a 3B tub swap ;) We have direct links to other Early CJ sites, including the CJ3B page. See the links on the main forum page.
