Good News for Colorado Front Range

:) Looks like Pike National Forest is going to open for recreation on Friday July 19, 2002 :)

Looks like a little run through the Dakan Mountain OHV trail will be in order.

Hopefully this will take some of the traffic off the other front range trails. As we went up Spring Creek last Sunday we passed:

Two vehicles that were stopped at the first hill climb

Six to eight Jeeps (Mile Hi Jeep Club?) at the first hard corner that were stopped and fixing one of thier groups vehicles

Three vehicles that were stopped at the top of the shortcut hillclimb (one of them had ran out of gas)

And three more Jeeps that took a wrong turn

Fortunately that put us at the rock garden with no one in front of us. :lol: We made it through the rock garden and then stopped and watched the bashing as we ate lunch. I can only imagine how long we would of had to wait if we hadn't been able to pass all of those other vehicles. 8O
As for me, it looks like Red Cone might be on the agenda!
