That happens to be the name of the missing Chinese pilot who collided with the Navy's P-3.
I just found it funny when I first heard it pronounced this morning as "Wong Way";)

I know I'm gonna catch hell for this: but I think that the US apology should be in the form of a complete trade embargo and a loss of "most favored nation status." Those spineless bastards in Congress will do nothing.

(I was originally going to say: "...should be in the form a nuclear strike..." but that is really dumb, just makes me feel better.)

Hope the US military was smart enough to decoy the electronics on this rig so that the Chi-coms are getting yesterdays technology.

Another suggestion I heard on the radio yesterday was to veto any possibility of the Communist chinese getting the 2008 Olympic Games as they as so determined to do. I like that idea.

Get our people out of there, then put a cruise missile right on the plane. I know, that's an act of war. What do you call what they're doing?

In typical lying communist fashion, they claim that it was the fault of a 4 engine turboprop that there was a collision with their fighter. President Bush should remind them, publically, that he is a former fighter jock (F-102) and he knows this is BS. If they're going to lie, they've got to do a better job than that.

Dear Prime Minister Jiang,

I'm really sorry that your fighter pilot is so incompetent that he can't steer clear of an unarmed, lumbering turboprop air craft.

Love and Kisses,

JT

PS: Since the international airspace in the South China Sea seems to be so crowded, our surveillance aircraft will now be accompanied by F14 Tomcat escort aircraft... just to make sure that our planes have plenty of flying room.

Oh, and our fighter pilots know what they're doing.

Funny on one hand.

And I happen to agree with the trade embargo, loss of Olympics, and the f-14 escorts on the other hand.

Since I posted the above topic almost two weeks ago, we have the crew home.
They are as proud as I would have been to get my people safely on the ground.
I trust General Powell to do his duty as Secretary of State..
training fighter escorts to imply that we can do that, if the Chinese cannot control their own pilots.
I have the ultimate respect for Wang Wai, as he was just doing his job the best he could.
