OK. Have to tell here. Why I am so warped and troubled.

In 1993 I graduated from the University of Minnesota and got a job working for the South Dakota Department of Transportation in Pierre, SD. Middle of nowhere. Pierre is the boondocks of the United States. Anyway, my dad said that I should buy a jeep. Gonna need it for winter, he said. Moved to Pierre and went to get rid of my 1988 Ford Festiva. :)

Ordered from the local jeep dealership a 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 2-dr, 5-sp, 4WD, red. Cost was about $18,000. :D

Told my folks. Listened to them scream and holler about the cost and it was to much $$$. My mom cried for an hour.

Went back to dealership and told them to cancel the order. :(

Went to Chevy dealer and ended up buying a 2-dr hardtop GEO TRACKER for about $12,000.

So after 6 years, I finally have my JEEP. :D

Now you know why I am so screwed up.

Having to drive the Tracker all those years will make you apprecaite your Jeep more. :)

Just wait until you go through the 18 years of child rearing, driving a minivan anticipating the day when you can get your next Jeep;)
I traded a 92 full size Dodge raised roof custom van (the family hauler) with TV, power rear bed, and VCR for my 94 YJ Sahara.

It took you 18 years of child raising before your next Jeep? I wonder what a 2016 model Jeep will look like?

I'll be 64 ! The kids can buy it as a retirement present for me !!!

I decided I wanted a wrangler in the fall of 1992.

In no time at all I ordered my 1999 TJ (fall of 98). Not bad, it only took me 6 years  .

With Ricks comments in mind my next new Jeep should be ordered in the fall of 2019. I wonder if they will still have solid axles :D .
