I have 4 Pro Comp 130 Watt Stainless Steel lights on my YJ. The inline fuses keep blowing. I also bought the wirng kits for them. I have 2 on each swith (2 on each fuse). i had 25 amp fuses in them and they keep blowing. i kept replacing them and they still kept blowing. so i put 30 amp fuses in and 1 of them just blew. Are these the wrong fuses? does someone here also have these lights and know the correct fuse? Is there a short somewhere thats causing this? Its really annoying me. Also, my dad helped me wire them because i dont know much about electricity and wiring stuff, so if i sound really stupid, dont laugh at me. Im not really sure what im talking about.

If you don't have relay's wired in there, get some. The puny switches can not handle the amperage of those lights. It will heat the switch, the wires, and everything else until something gives.
Also, check your ground wires. Make sure they are nice and tight with nothing insulating them (paint, silicon, etc.) from the body.
Hope this helps.

As Etnomaiab said, you absolutely must run those lights through at least one relay per pair of lights at a minimum. Each pair of lights is drawing 22 amps but their initial turn-on current is even higher when they first turn on so it's possible they would blow a 25 amp fuse. The relay connects the lights directly to the battery while keeping the heavy current out of the on-off switch. I would actually recommend one relay per light since each relay would be running near the rated amperage capacity with a pair of lights. Use heavy wiring between the lights and relays, 10-12 gauge is enough. You can use lighter 14-18 gauge between the switch and relays.

I use Hella 30 A(mpère) relays and 8 A inline fuses - but that's only with 55W driving and 85W fog lights.

Relays are the only way to go. GO down to Radio shack and pick up some relays and switches. It will be much cheaper than buying a wiring kit. With relays there are also less wires to run through the fire wall.

Have you checked the grounds as suggested? And are you sure you got the right kit (maybe lighter guage wire for a not-so-powerful light)?
