What does pre-lowered mean? Sorry for the dumb question.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you heard the term on a Jeep forum.

New KJs are slightly lower than the original production run for better cornering stability. :P

Yup. What he said. The change took affect the beginning of April this year.

I think the change was only about 2 cm. or something like that, very little drop.

Thanks guys. And you're right. I did hear it read about it on the forum. Is that the case for only 4x4's?

It was supposed to have been for all Libertys..

It was approx 5/8" drop in front..
approx 3/4" drop in rear..

Starting April 2nd 2002 All Libertys are lowered coming out of the factory..
