Anyone using the Tomken Brush guard/Winch plate?

Any other recommendations?

Im lookint at getting one. If your running there front bumper, its a must have b/c if you go to put the winch on the front you will not be able to run the roller with it unless you drill new holes in the plate to move it foward.

If you're talking the Tomken plate that has the little mini-bullbar up front, I have one and it works great. I don't know about their brushguard though other than I haven't seen a brushguard that looked 'right' on a Jeep. Most brush guards I see are on SUVs that never see anything more treacherous than a dirt fire road.

I've seen the Tomken plate. Good looking unit.

Being cheap though, I made my own out of 5/16" plate. Didn't cost me a dime since I pick up all the materials free at work and had some of my co-workers do the welding. The only thing that cost me was the black paint.

I see more "brush" guards on SUV's these days. I get a grin from the kind that have 1/2 inch clearance from the body. I think if they ever ran over a bush they'd have major front end body damage from the brush guard;)
I got the Warn mounting plate, only because it is from Warn..and permits the use of the hard cover to keep all the Michigan winter salt spray off the winch..

It's helped keep it clean for 7 years now:)

I got my new Warn CE HS 9500i mounted today, in conjunction with the Warn mounting plate (#37170). It looks very sturdy, weighs about 7-8kg and has a nice black finish.
I cannot comment on other mounting plates, because I have never seen one.

I have the tomken winch mount miniguard and use it on a factory bumper with a warn 8000xi. I am very happy with it. I had to bore the mounting holes slightly because I could not get the 4 holes to line up. Other than that it was a snap to install.

Well, I bought the Tomken plate. Installed it along with the new XD9000 winch Friday evening. Installation went well. Everything fit right and only took about 45 min. Think I'm really gonna like it.

I have the Tomken and like it. It works fine with the stock bumper but you may have to trim the little rubber bumperettes that stick out the front if you have them.
You can see it on my site below if you so choose.
