I have a 1978 CJ7 with 304 V8. It has a Howell fuel injection kit on it and Jacobson ignition box and coil. The engine was running great until recently I started the Jeep to pull it into the garage to change the fuel filter because I was pulling some rust or something out of the fuel tank. It was running fine when I shut it off in the garage and now it will not start. It will fire and act like it is going to start, but it will not take off and run. The Jacobson ignition box is brand new and seems to be working fine because I have good spark. The Howell fuel injection kit is brand new and it was working fine and shows no codes thrown from the ECM. It also seems to be getting good fuel to the injectors. I checked the timing and it seems to be good. I checked the compression of the engine and it is checking good. I replaced the ignition switch and it did not help. If anyone can give me any clue as to why it will not run would be greatly appreciated
