What was the problem with the shackle reversal? I have been considering it for my '93 YJ so I am very interested in your experience with it.

Those tail lights look great like that too.

THAT TRAIL LOOKS FUN!:D

A Shackle reversal will require a longer throw slip spline on the front drive shaft, if you have a front axle with lockouts then you could do the square home made boxtube inside box tube long trhow drive shaft...otehr wise a custom drive shaft will cost abit.

Shackle reversal will also cause more brake dive but will have a softer ride.

Another advantage of shackle reversal is that the soild frame mount in front can be built beefier and protect the leafs from rocks, where as a shackle in front if hit my a rock hard engouth can dammabe the leafs.

Another dis advantage for reversal is for steep down hill driving as more weight goes on the front axle the suspension compresses and shifts the axle back alittle when the shackle moves back. this shortens the wheel base and would have slightly less stability.

Im planning a leaf conversion on my Xj SOA and the shackle reversal seamed to have more disadvantages then advantages for my type of wheelin..
