Front Axle U-Joint and Balljoint

How hard is it to replace these and does anyone have a write up on how to do it? Any idea how long it will take? How difficult is it? My Haynes doesn't tell how to do it. It just says a special tool is required and to take it to a shop. I believe I can rent this tool from NAPA and do this. Thanks

Colo.TJ is on a distinguished road
You can buy a ball joint/ u-joint press from Harbor Freight and comes w/ a manual for around $30. Ball joints and u-joints are $20 each side. U-joints can be changed w/ 2 sockets, an etension and a med. size sledge. I have never changed a ball joint but shouldn't be to difficult. U-joints are easy. If you have the hubs/unit bearings off it would be simple to do both.
